This Privacy Policy explains how The Architect Array ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you use the Agent-0 mobile application, this website, and related services (the "Services"). By using the Services you agree to the practices described here.

1. Who we are

Agent-0 is a property technology platform operated by The Architect Array, a technology company based in Lagos, Nigeria. Agent-0 lets you discover and rent properties, book short-let stays, manage tenancies, and pay securely in-app. For any privacy question or request, contact us at hub@thearchitectarray.com.

2. Information we collect

• Account information: your name, email address, phone number, password, and profile photo.
• Identity verification (KYC) data: government-issued ID details, your National Identification Number (NIN), and a selfie or liveness check, collected through our verification partner when you verify your identity or upgrade to a realtor account.
• Listing content: property photos, descriptions, pricing, and ownership or authorization documents you upload as a realtor or landlord.
• Transaction data: bookings, rent payments, wallet balances and ledger entries, payout bank account details, and payment references. Card details are collected and processed by our payment processor, not stored by us.
• Messages: chats between you and other users, support tickets, messages sent through this website's contact form, and your conversations with Otis, our AI assistant.
• Device and usage data: device identifiers, push notification tokens, app version, crash logs, and how you use app features.
• Location context: the areas and locations you search for. We do not track your precise background location.

3. How we use your information

• To provide the Services: listings, search, bookings, viewings, chats, tenancies, and rent management.
• To verify identities and keep the marketplace safe, including fraud prevention and enforcing our verification rules.
• To process payments, hold booking funds in escrow, run payouts and withdrawals, and keep accurate wallet records.
• To power AI features such as smart search and Otis, including responding to enquiries and negotiating within limits set by realtors.
• To send service notifications (bookings, payments, rent reminders, security alerts) and, with your consent, marketing messages.
• To provide customer support and resolve disputes.
• To improve, debug, and secure the Services.
• To comply with applicable law, including the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA).

4. Payments

Payments are processed by Paystack, a licensed payment processor. When you pay, your card or bank details are transmitted directly to Paystack under their security standards (PCI-DSS). We receive transaction references, amounts, and status, not your full card details. Booking payments are held in escrow and released to the realtor only after check-in, as described in our Terms of Service.

5. Identity verification

Identity verification is performed through our KYC partner. The data you submit during verification (ID documents, NIN, selfie) is processed to confirm your identity and is subject to the partner's own privacy practices in addition to ours. Repeated failed verification attempts may temporarily lock verification for your account as a security measure.

6. AI features

Conversations with Otis and AI-powered search queries are processed by AI service providers on our behalf to generate responses. Do not share sensitive information (such as passwords or full card numbers) in AI chats. AI responses can be imperfect; always confirm important details such as prices, dates, and property facts before acting on them.

7. How we share information

We never sell your personal information. We share it only:

• With other users as needed for a transaction: for example, a realtor sees the name and contact details of a client who books a viewing, and a landlord sees their tenant's details.
• With service providers who process data for us: payment processing (Paystack), identity verification, cloud hosting, push notifications, and email delivery.
• With law enforcement, regulators, or courts where the law requires it.
• In connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, in which case this policy continues to apply to your data.

8. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and for as long as needed afterwards to meet legal, tax, audit, and dispute-resolution obligations. Financial transaction records are retained for the periods required by Nigerian law. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data; some records (such as payment ledgers) must be retained even after deletion where the law requires.

9. Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit, access controls, an optional in-app PIN and biometric lock, and monitored infrastructure. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your password and PIN private and contact us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

10. Your rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to correct inaccurate data, to request deletion, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise any of these rights, email hub@thearchitectarray.com. We respond within the timelines required by law.

11. Cookies and this website

This website is a static informational site. It does not run third-party advertising or tracking cookies. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, and messages you send through the contact form are delivered to our support system so we can reply to you.

12. Children

The Services are for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes we will notify you in the app or on this website before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
